CONAMA is an international congress aimed at promoting transformation to battle climate change. This year’s edition took place in IFEMA Madrid from November the 21st until November the 24th..
During these five days, environmental professionals from all over the globe have traveled to the Spanish capital to share, reflect and debate new strategies to face the huge impact of climate change and scale the repercussion of the climate actions in different agendas: decarbonization of the economy, loss of biodiversity, waste reduction and exploitation or the minimization of the impact of human activities.
On this last agenda, the European project LIFE NIMBUS is working on a sustainable fuel for public transport by generating biomethane from sewage sludge and power-to-gas technologies, promoting a circular economy.
The project manager of LIFE NIMBUS, Oriol Casal, from Cetaqua Barcelona, squeezed the opportunity and presented the project at CONAMA 2022 as an example of an innovative project to face climate change and maximize the potential and exploitation of the available resources. All of it, in line with the ODS and the 2030 Agenda.
